Pieces of furniture enjoy a particularly high value with the owner for various reasons. Whether made of special woods or provided with beautiful veneers, as a souvenir or heirloom - furniture of such importance can be confidently placed in our hands. Refinishing can visually enhance an antique chest of drawers, a picture frame or other valuable pieces of furniture. In this regard, you need to be aware of some basic issues, so that the character is not permanently changed.
With our professional implementation of your individual wishes, we lay the foundation for the preservation of your furniture.
For the expert repainting, we need to know in advance whether the piece of furniture is new or used and whether it will be delivered to us in its entirety or in individual parts. In order to determine the scope of work, it is essential whether only a scratch is to be removed or the entire piece of furniture is to be treated.
When individual pieces are delivered by our clients, it is crucial that they fit as accurately as possible, which enables us restorers to assemble them optimally and easily after repainting. Furthermore, it is highly relevant whether the piece of furniture needs to be masked before it is varnished.
In order to create a basis for the repainting, your furniture must be sanded in the first work step so that it can be primed. Sanding is done with the appropriate grit in relation to the desired end result. In this context, it is possible to apply filler to even out any unevenness. In this respect, a decision must be made as to whether the piece of furniture should have a smooth surface or whether old scratches or indentations should remain visible because they are associated with special memories. Before priming, it is possible to putty the furniture if this is desired.
For the perfect realisation of your ideas, we need all the necessary information. When furniture is repainted, the piece of furniture can be painted both inside and outside. You have the choice between a colour lacquer finish or a clear lacquer finish (2K-Kack), furthermore the appearance can be designed matt, satin or glossy. Finally, the furniture can be additionally finished polished or unpolished.
For furniture refinishing, we work with a paint shop that is excellently equipped for various requirements. The paint mixing computer, the paint booth and the drying room guarantee first-class work. First, a base coat is applied as a filling before the actual repainting begins. You can decide whether the painting is to be done in one colour, two colours or several colours. With the Moonwork® paint mixing computer, we can realise any colour shade you desire.
If you do not yet know in which RAL colour tone the piece of furniture is to be lacquered, you can draw inspiration from the RAL colour table.
In the final step of furniture repainting, minimal dust inclusions are removed to guarantee a perfect look according to your wishes.
With regard to pricing, it is not possible to give a quick price quote. We can only make binding statements after personally inspecting the piece of furniture on site, recording all necessary work steps and clarifying your individual wishes.
